My guest on this episode is environmental artist and educator, Susan Hoenig, who I have featured previously in the blog post, The Artful Environmentalist. Hoenig’s multidisciplinary artworks are intended to help us become attuned to ecology. It is incredibly informative listening to Susan describe her eco-friendly process and how she makes artwork in tandem with natural environments.
As you will hear during our conversation, Susan’s mission is to bring joy and awareness to the ways we interact with our local, national and global ecosystems.
Susan Hoenig’s work is one of my favorite examples of how art can inspire explorations, discoveries, and insightful analyses of ecology and environmental science. Through creating artwork that educates the public about our environment, Susan is creating an organic experiential curriculum that facilitates empathetic responses to environmental concerns.
